Out of Sight, Out of Mind

So I got to thinking today. I know, I know, I shouldn't be thinking becasue it always gets me into trouble. Today I was thinking about the media. I think about the media quite a bit actually, mainly becasue in my warped mind I think I am part of it.

I never realized until I began to get involved in politics how biased the media really is, and it isn't just about politics. Back in the old days when I was growing up, you believed everything anyone told you, your teacher, Huntley and Brinkley, Walter Cronkite, the President, your parish priest, all of them. Then we had one president tell us right there on national television that he wasn't a crook, another who told us he never had sex with that woman, made up stories about a candidate's military story and priests who did things to kids which they never should have done. And you wonder why I drink?

Now, after all that, I don't believe anything. I realize that everyone has an agenda. Finding that agenda isn't always easy, you have to work at it, but it is always there. It might be something simple as someone trying to convince us to buy something or it might be even more sinister.

Lately I have been looking into this whole Agenda 21 thing, you know the latest Tea Party nuts conspiracy theory where the UN is trying to take over the world through regulating everything we do. Now if this indeed is true, how would they go about doing it?

First they would reeducate us, mostly through our children. Have you ever wondered why the left is so against home schooling? Becasue they can't control what you teach your children. In public schools, they can control everything our kids learn. They can fill them full of junk science which they can then bring home to "share". They can teach them how the government is good and business is bad, how the government has all the answers and the church doesn't.

Then they would remove religion from the public eye. Think about it, if you never see anything to remind you about God and Jesus Christ and their teachings, pretty soon you will forget about it, out of sight, out of mind. Raise your hand if you have a Bible in the house - good, I see some hands. Now raise your hand if you read it- not so many. It probably is packed away somewhere, again out of sight, out of mind. The point is if your Bible, (and no I am not trying to convert anyone, just making a point) isn't where you will see it, you won't read it. If the progressives keep all reference to God hidden, then they can convince you that their morality is right.

Take abortion for example, they have managed to convince a whole lot of people it is okay to kill a child in the womb. They have managed to change the language so it doesn't sound like murder, using nice words like unborn or not viable and family planning, but it is still murder. They are convincing many that they know what is best, they know more than God what is best for all of us and as long as they keep God out of sight, He will be out of mind.

Look at the evidence, it is all around you, the UN may not be trying to take over the world, but they are certainly trying to change it, especially the United States. If you still believe in America and what the Founding Fathers envisioned, in November, we need to make some changes. If we don't, the American Dream will be out of sight, out of mind.
